Dr. Bigbee received his Doctor of Education degree in Education Leadership from Baylor University in Waco, his Master of Education in Education Administration from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, N.M., and his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales N.M.

His professional career experience is as follows:

• Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations at Midlothian ISD  2008 to present
• Superintendent of Schools at Azle ISD from 1999-2008
• Assistant Superintendent for Business at Killeen ISD from 1998-1999
• Assistant Superintendent for Finance at Northwest ISD from 1997-1998
• Business Manager at Sundown ISD from 1992-1997
• Elementary Principal at Sundown ISD from 1991-1992
• Elementary Principal at Ralls ISD from 1989-1991
• Oilfield service company manager from 1975-1989
• Middle school math teacher at Roswell ISD from 1974-1975
• Middle school math teacher at Ralls ISD from 1972-1974

His wife, Dr. Peggy Malone, is the Director of Certification at ESC Region XI in Ft. Worth, Texas.  He has two daughters: Amanda, who is the General Counsel for Keller ISD and Amy who is a counselor in Winston-Salem, N.C.  He has a step-daughter Micah, who is self-employed in Belton, Texas.
